Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal Objectives

The objectives of the journal include:

  • To provide a platform for scientist and industrialist involved in raw materials research and development to disseminate scientific and technological knowledge wich are of practical value to the industry.
  • To fill the yawning gap existing in the dissemination of scientific information on rawmaterials research and development.
  • To stimulate the interest of scientists to carry out research in the areas of industrialraw materials as inputs for industries.
  • To promote the capability of scientists in carrying out research relevant to variousaspects of industrial raw materials and development.
  • to stimulate the interest of industrialists to look inwards for raw materials input, process technology and equipment as well as general technical expertise.
  • To improve the economy of developing countries by reducing over-dependence ofthe industrialists on imported inputs.

Editorial Policy

Greater emphasis shall be laid on applied research findings that have potential to improveindustrial processes, particularly, those that are related to:

  1. Processing of existing minerals and agricultural raw materials, new and advanced materials and petrochemicals.
  2. Substituting imported major or minor industrial inputs with products of equivalent value.
  3. Development  of  process  technology  or  fabrication  of  machines  and  other components, particularly, through the upgrading of local technology.
  4. Any other research findings that are considered relevant to the objectives of the journal by the editorial board.
